What backs the data

Every curve point has a clear basis: measured by the broker, reconstructed from available data, or unknown.

What happens. A curve point is not just drawn on the chart. PnL Plus marks where it came from: a direct broker measurement, a calculation between measured points, or a reconstruction from transactions. If there is not enough data, the point remains unknown.

Why this matters for trust. Reconstruction is useful, but it is not the same as direct measurement. The reader should see where the broker confirmed a value directly and where the system rebuilt the picture as honestly as the history, quotes and account operations allow.

How it works here. For MT4/MT5, broker balance/equity readings are measured points; gaps can be reconstructed from 5-minute quotes, position direction, lots, calibrated contract multiplier and accrued swap. For EXANTE, NAV after monitoring starts is measured and updates once per minute. Interactive Brokers measured NAV arrives once daily at end of day. History before the first measured NAV can be assembled from transactions; if an important drawdown depends on reconstructed points, that basis is disclosed.
