How we reconcile data
Before trusting metrics, we check whether the calculated history reconciles with the broker state of the account.
What happens. After loading data, a clean-looking curve is not enough. The current calculated balance or NAV must be comparable to what the broker shows; otherwise the issue is treated as a data problem, not as trading performance.
Why this matters for trust. A loading error, missing transaction or wrong FX conversion can distort return, drawdown and rating. An account with unreconciled history should not receive a public score on the same footing as verified history.
How it works here. For MT4/MT5, current balance is checked against the broker server to the cent after synchronization. For Exante/IBKR, the reconstructed line must pass a convergence check against measured NAV with a documented 3% tolerance after accounting for open P&L. Residual differences are disclosed; accounts without convergence are not ranked.
